DALLAS – Flowserve’s manufacturing plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, has been certified by Saudi Aramco for the supply of control valves.

The plant, opened last summer, is operated by Flowserve Abahsain Flow Control Co. (FLS/ABA), a joint venture with S&A Abahsain Co. Ltd.

Certification means that the JV can sell its Flowserve Valtek globe, ball, plug, butterfly, and control valves for severe service to Saudi Aramco.

"This certification is a first step towards qualifying a number of Flowserve Flow Control valve and actuation products," said Shaukat Sheikh, director of Abahsain Group.

The Dammam plant is described as a state-of-the-art, 55,000-sq ft (5,109-sq m) facility which can provide component machining, valve assembly, and testing.

It also includes a fully-equipped Quick Response Center to provide service and repair support to Saudi-based companies, either in the facility or at the customer's site.
