ABERDEEN, UK – Wireline/well intervention technology specialist Wireline Engineering aims to develop its activities in Oman.

The company has signed a one-year agreement with Oman Oil Industries Supplies and Services Co. (OOISS), under which the latter will promote Wireline’s products to local oil and gas companies.

Already the first rental equipment has been mobilized for various offshore and onshore wells. Wireline says it anticipates strong demand for its open and cased hole Roller Bogie technology for downhole tasks in deviated wells, and for its gas lift and oriented perforating tools.

The company has had a presence in the Middle East since 2005, with equipment deployed in the UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
