HOUSTON – Knowledge Reservoir has released information on several technical advancements. For starters, Knowledge Reservoir and Cimarron Software Services inc. have allied to supply integrated systems and services for real-time command and control, and events-based surveillance.

Cimarron is focused on use of an off-the-shelf system for real-time command and control applications. Knowledge Reservoir focuses on integration and implementation done by oil and gas experts.

Knowledge Reservoir also has announced a “major upgrade to its North Sea Reservoir Knowledge Base.” This dataset is available as a module in the company’s ReservoirKB Web portal service. It includes field data for the UK and Norwegian North Sea, as well as onshore UK. The upgrade is to include migration to the GIS-based KBFramework that is used on the Gulf of Mexico module. The upgrade, due for January 2011 release, will redesign the user interface and make user-defined tables, charts, and statistics possible, along with the GIS map navigation.

Lastly, Knowledge Reservoir has announced a new information management service for upstream centered on the development of Wiki portals. Knowledge Reservoir can supply a template and base content to start, and the client’s technical staff expands the information to create a knowledge transfer tool across the company.
