OSLO, Norway – The Grenland Group has a letter of intent from FMC Technologies for subsea facilities for the Kirinskoye field development offshore Russia’s Sakhalin Island.

The order, comprising one manifold and associated foundation and two protection structures, is part of FMC's recent agreement with Gazprom Dobycha Shelf LLC to supply subsea production equipment for Kirinskoye.

Grenland Group will start work at its various Norwegian workshops this fall. Total weight of the subsea equipment will be around 450 metric tons (496 tons). Deliveries should begin next spring. The contract value is around $8.1 million.

Kirinskoye is a subsea-to-beach gas and condensate field in water depths of around 300 ft (90 m). It is located in the Kirinsky block of the Sakhalin III project, 17 mi (28 km) from Sakhalin Island.
