BANGKOK -- PTT Exploration & Production Plc. says it now plans to start the Gulf of Thailand's Arthit gas field production in March 2008. The original schedule was delayed due to a shortage of construction equipment and materials, the company says.
The central processing platform is nearing completion at Batam, Indonesia, and will handle 330 MMcf/d of gas, the largest such platform in the area, PTTEP says.
Later in 2008, Arthit North is scheduled to go onstream at 120 MMcf/d in September.
Arthit is owned by PTTEP with 80%, Chevron Thailand Exploration & Production Ltd. with 16%, and Moeco (Thailand) with 4%.
