ABERDEEN, UK --Oilexco has contracted Futuretec for Turboblade centralizers to use in two UK North Sea wells.
The patented devices are designed to provide a low coefficient of friction. This, combined with the double blades, generates turbulence that assists in the clearing of hole cuttings, and also improves the cement bonding process.
Futuretec, founded in 2000, has received over $101,493 in funding from the Smart: Scotland program, and continues to develop other products aimed at improving cased hole installation and integrity.
