The semisubmersible drilling rig Eirik Raude is in transit to the deepwater Orphan basin to continue operations following repairs at the Kewitt shipyard in Newfoundland, Canada.

STAVANGER, Norway -- The semisubmersible drilling rig Eirik Raude is in transit to the deepwater Orphan basin to continue operations following repairs at the Kewitt shipyard in Newfoundland, Canada.

The Eirik Raude is one of the two largest semisubmersible drilling rigs in the world. Ocean Rig owns and operates the units, which are operating offshore Angola and Atlantic Canada.
