WESTERN AUSTRALIA -- Apache has completed three new wells in the Carnarvon basin offshore Western Australia through the Harriet Joint Venture. The new Doric #2 well is producing 65 MMcf/d of gas, and the Lee #3 well is producing 50 MMcf/d, both through Apache's Varanus Island hub.

The third new well was a sidetrack drilled from the company's Victoria Platform. The well, West Cyad #2, is producing 6,000 b/d of oil.

Apache plans to drill 31 more wells in the Carnarvon basin this year. Most of the wells will be in the Harriet JV area, which Apache operates with 68.5% interest.
