RIO de JANEIRO, Brazil -- MCS has signed a two-year contract with Petrobras. Under the agreement, MCS and Petrobras will share expertise.

MCS will provide subsea engineering consulting in submarine steel pipes and steel catenary risers, flexible pipe, umbilicals, subsea equipment, and risk analysis.

"Integrity management is a big growth area for us and we believe our experience in flexible pipe coupled with our approach to integrity management will be in demand in Brazil, given the importance of flexible pipe to Petrobras, whose typical approach for offshore systems are floating production units linked to subsea wells and equipment by means of flexible risers and flowlines," said Otávio Sertã, MCS director in Brazil.
