Discovery Geo (Australia) Corp. will explore the 6,000 sq km permit, PEP 38343, at the south of the East Coast basin offshore New Zealand. The permit includes Cook Strait and parts of onshore Marlborough in the South Island.

The permit's northern boundary runs from offshore Wellington to Blenheim and the Waimea Valley, the western boundaries include northern coastal areas of Marlborough down to the Clarence River. The eastern boundary runs offshore Marlborough north to Palliser Bay in southern Wairarapa.

Under the work program Discovery Geo will delineate the outer limits of the Cape Campbell lead off the Marlborough coast as well as carry out other geological studies and seismic processing. In the second year at least 250 km of 2D seismic acquisition is required.

Discovery Geo also holds two offshore Taranaki permits.
