Seismic center opens in Trinidad

WesternGeco plans to the open a seismic data processing center in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Significant potential increases the proven oil and gas reserves in Trinidad and seismic data acquisition, processing, and analysis will be significant in this ongoing exploration and development effort, the company said.
The WesternGeco data processing center will focus on hiring and training local employees. Trinidadian geophysicists have undergone geophysical training in the United States and Norway.
