People

Africa Oil Corp. President and CEO Keith Hill has informed the board of his intention to step down from his executive role. Roger Tucker will succeed Hill as the new president and CEO. Hill has agreed to remain on the board as a director of the company, with Dr. Tucker also joining the board as a director. Hill will continue to lead the company until the handover on Sept. 5.

Interventek has appointed Alan Duncan CEO.

Alfred Stern has been reappointed CEO of OMV.

Bosch Rexroth North America’s President and CEO Gregory Gumbs left the company July 1. In the interim, Reinhard Schaefer, current executive board member, will join the North American board to support the transition and identify the company’s next regional CEO.

Venterra Group Plc has appointed Philippe Kavafyan CEO. He joins the group in mid-September and, following a short transition, becomes CEO, effective Oct. 16.

Energy software company FutureOn has appointed Stig Wølstad-Knudsen CEO and Rodrigo Ferraz head of market development, Latin America.    

Greg Kulawski has joined Valeura Energy as COO.

W&T Offshore Inc. has appointed Sameer Parasnis executive vice president and CFO.

Talos Energy Inc. has appointed Sergio Maiworm Jr. CFO and senior vice president, replacing Shannon “Shane” Young III, who has accepted a similar role with a large independent E&P company.

BCCK has promoted Naomi Baker to vice president of engineering.

Audubon Engineering Co. has appointed Jeff Gernon the first chief commercial officer of Audubon.

Aurora Energy Services has appointed Tom Smith COO.

APA Corp. has named Scott Grandt senior vice president, corporate development.

Dale Bradford has started a new position as Gulf of Mexico vice president with Kosmos Energy.

Spirit Energy has appointed Scott McGinigal technical services and HSES director.

3t Energy Group has named Dominic Zanre senior solutions manager.

UK-based offshore vessel operator North Star has appointed Caspar Blum to the newly created role of European renewables lead.

RelyOn Nutec UK, a provider of practical and digital training for traditional and renewable energy, has promoted Helen Dunn to head of sector–renewables to drive sector growth in wind, CCUS and hydrogen.

Net Zero Technology Centre has appointed Peter Mather the new chair of its board, succeeding Martin Gilbert.

Downhole technology specialist DTI has appointed Matthew Gray a new global business development manager for energy transition technologies.

Scots wind energy specialists Edge Solutions has appointed Stuart MacLean head of corporate development and Richard Scullion head of business development.

Germany-based Steelwind Nordenham Gmbh has appointed Jost Backhaus as an additional managing director alongside Dr. Andreas Liessem and is responsible for the commercial side of the company, focusing on sales and project management.

Global Underwater Hub, a trade and development body representing the UK’s underwater industry, has named Ricci Boston regional manager.

Ørsted board member, former Galp CEO and Shell executive committee member, Andy Brown OBE FEI, has been appointed vice president and honorary secretary of the Energy Institute. Brown succeeds Dame Vivienne Cox FEI, who has stepped down after seven years.

Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) has appointed three major business leaders to its board: Jillian Owen, Abdou Beloucif and Sayma Cox.

The OEG Offshore group has appointed David Currie non-executive chairman.

DNV has acquired Enviroguide Consulting, an environmental consultancy based in Dublin, Ireland.

Aberdeen Drilling School, a global training and consultancy company, has acquired IAS International to enhance its training and competency management portfolio for the Middle East market.

C-Innovation has expanded its remote survey operations to Houma, Louisiana.

OEG Renewables, the newly established offshore wind focused division of the wider OEG Offshore Group, has acquired 23 Degrees Renewables.

Renantis and Ventient Energy intend to join forces to form one of the largest renewable independent power producers in Europe.
