PEOPLE

Petrofac Group Chief Executive Sami Iskander will leave the business at the end of March 2023 to pursue other interests.

Woodside's Executive Vice President Australian Operations, Fiona Hick, has retired following a 22-year career with the company to pursue a career opportunity with another company.

VAALCO Energy Inc. has promoted Thor Pruckl to COO. Additionally, Matthew Powers has joined VAALCO’s senior leadership as executive vice president and general counsel. 

Geoquip Marine has appointed Richard Turner CEO, with former CEO Stewart Higginson moving to the role of executive chairperson. Existing Chairperson Peter Østergaard Nielsen will remain on the Geoquip Marine board as a non-executive director.

New members of the Ørsted group executive team will be Rasmus Errboe as executive vice president (EVP) and CEO of Region Europe; David Hardy as EVP and CEO of Region Americas; Per Mejnert Kristensen as senior vice president (SVP) and president of Region APAC; Olivia Breese as SVP and head of Power-to-X; Anders Zoëga Hansen as SVP and head of legal; and Ingrid Reumert as SVP and head of global stakeholder relations).

Calvin (Cal) Bancroft will resign from his position as Excelerate Energy Inc.'s executive vice president (EVP) and COO on Dec. 31, 2022. Bancroft will continue his employment with the company as a senior adviser through Sept. 30, 2023, at which point he is expected to retire. David Liner will succeed Bancroft as EVP and COO as of Jan. 1, 2023.

Africa Oil Corp. has appointed Craig Knight COO, replacing Timothy Thomas who retired in 2021 and became a consultant to the company.

The Port of Aberdeen has appointed Roddy James its first chief commercial officer. 

In May HydraWell joined forces with READ. As part of our new combined management team, former READ Managing Director Bruce Melvin will become chief commercial officer, and HydraWell’s Tom Leeson will take on the new role of CTO. 

Siemens Gamesa has named Morten Pilgaard Rasmussen global CTO.

Dominion Energy has promoted Steven D. Ridge to senior vice president and CFO, succeeding James R. Chapman, who will be leaving the company for a senior finance role outside the utility industry after a transition period. 

Baker Hughes has appointed Nancy Buese CFO. Former CFO Brian Worrell has moved to a strategic adviser role and will depart the company in the second quarter of 2023. 

Martin Oehlenschlæger has joined Semco Maritime as CFO and member of the executive board. He will succeed Jørgen Devantier Gade who will retire after contributing to ensuring a smooth transition. Also, David C. Hutchinson has been appointed managing director and UK country head of Semco Maritime Ltd.

Al Cook, executive vice president for Exploration and Production International, has notified Equinor that he will resign to become CEO of a company in the diamond industry. Cook will continue in his current position at Equinor until no later than April 1, 2023. De Beers Group announced in October that Cook will become its new CEO early next year. 

Crowley has promoted Meaghan Atkinson to be vice president of sustainability.

Weatherford International Plc has appointed Charles "Chuck" Davison, Jr. as executive vice president of operational excellence.

Westwood Global Energy Group has named Joyce Grigorey director of hydrogen.    

EnerMech has appointed Phil Ogden chief human resources officer, and Alison Hazell has been promoted to marketing and communications director. 

ASCO has appointed Mike Pettigrew its new UK managing director following the retirement of his predecessor, Glenn Hurren. Pettigrew took up his new role Nov. 1, while Hurren will officially retire in February 2023. ASCO also appointed Ross Irvine general manager of its ship agency (Seletar) and freight management (AFM) service lines.

Hartshead Resources NL has named Stephen McCraith wells manager within its UK Southern Gas Basin Phase I development project management team.   

Global energy and marine consultancy ABL Group has established an entity in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and Donald MacMillan will head up the new entity, alongside his roles as ABL’s country manager in KSA and Bahrain.

Well-Safe Solutions has selected Ruth Thomas as subsurface team lead.

Kim McHugh, vice president of Wells with Chevron, will be heading the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers board. 

Getech has appointed Laurent Le Mée director of business development for geothermal.

Scott Robertson, director of operations, plans to leave the North Sea Transition Authority at the end of 2022 to pursue new opportunities.

Simply Blue Group has named Jeremy Gault project manager for the company’s Emerald and Western Star floating offshore wind projects, and Marie Gleeson was appointed external affairs and stakeholder liaison lead for the company's Western Star project.

Ian Clifford has been appointed as Quanta EPC's chairman and non-executive of the board and chartered accountant, and Catherine Earl will take up the role of strategic finance director.

Enterprize Energy has appointed Jérôme Guillet to the board. 

COMPANY NEWS

Schlumberger has become SLBstating its new identity focuses on energy innovation and decarbonization.

Clariant Oil Services has expanded in EMEA with the launch of its facility for advanced oil and gas solutions. Located in Dubai, the EMEA Technical Center will leverage the latest technologies and more sustainable oilfield chemicals. The hub will address corrosion, fluid separation and flow assurance.

Maersk Training Houston has entered into a new training partnership with bp Houma Operations Learning Center (HOLC) to develop the next generation of oilfield workers in the Gulf of Mexico. Training will take place in person, online and using simulators. 

IKM Testing AS has acquired 80% of the shares in the Danish technology provider Ocean Team Group AS. Ocean Team Group AS has changed name to IKM Ocean Team AS.

Centurion Group has announced that Seanic US is rebranding as Centurion Subsea Services.

Falck Renewables has rebranded as Renantis.

Fugro has opened the Australian Space Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Control Complex, better known as SpAARC, in Perth’s central business district.

Aker software company Aize has established Aize Inc. and has opened its first office outside Europe, in Houston, Texas. Aize creates domain-specific software that enables faster and leaner project execution and efficient operations for E&P companies.

Dresser Utility Solutions has acquired the assets of Total Piping Solutions that will be incorporated into the Dresser Pipeline Solutions business.

Stress Engineering Services Inc. has launched SES Renewables Solutions, a new group dedicated to providing engineering solutions across a broad range of renewable energy industries.  

Parker Wellbore has acquired International Tubular Management of Norway. 

Safety firm RelyOn Nutec has acquired Complete Training Solutions, a specialist health and safety training provider.

ABL Group has acquired the operations of well control equipment specialists HOSE International.

Fishbones has opened a new office facility in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The new hub will include a maintenance and storage facility.

AGR, a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy and software provider, will expand and grow the range of services provided by its consultant staffing division, with the opening of an office in Oslo to meet increased demand from new projects coming online in the oil and gas and renewables sectors.

Semco Maritime has established a new office in Gdynia with 32 specialized employees forming an integral part of the group’s international project teams and supporting the growth within renewable energy projects, both internationally and in Poland. 

CSA Ocean Sciences Inc. has opened a new corporate office in Suriname to help meet the growing demand for marine environmental, geophysical and geotechnical services in Latin America, most notably from the offshore energy sector amid increased exploration and drilling activity in the Guyana-Suriname Basin.
