Apache prolongs North Sea drilling services deal

Apache Corp. has awarded Archer a new three-year contract to provide platform drilling management services at the Forties and Beryl fields in the UK central North Sea.

HAMILTON, BermudaApache Corp. has awarded Archer a new three-year contract to provide platform drilling management services at the Forties and Beryl fields in the UK central North Sea.

The services will apply to the Forties Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta and Beryl Alpha and Bravo platforms, with options for Apache to extend the contract term further.

Archer has provided these services to the company at Forties and Beryl since 2004 and 2012, respectively.

Globally, the company’s offshore crews are providing drilling operations and maintenance services for 11 operators on 42 installations in the North Sea, two in Brazil, and on one tender-assist barge rig offshore Greece.

Last year the company also secured contract awards / renewals from Shell U.K., Chevron (UK), Marathon Oil (UK), Repsol (Norway), Energean Oil & Gas (Greece), and Statoil (Brazil).
