ZUG, Switzerland – Statoil Petroleum ASA has awarded the harsh environment semisubmersible Transocean Spitsbergen a 22-well contract in the Norwegian North Sea.
The estimated duration is 33 months, and the contract includes two one-well options. The estimated firm backlog associated with the contract is $286 million.
The contract is expected to begin in 3Q 2019.
