SNC-Lavalin strengthens ties with Saudi Aramco

SNC-Lavalin has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Aramco to create opportunities for local workforces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

DHAHRAN, Saudi ArabiaSNC-Lavalin has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Aramco to create opportunities for local workforces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

This is said to be in line withAramco’s In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) program, which is pursuing increased localization of oilfield services and equipment to strengthen and diversify the Saudi economy; transference of technologies, skill and knowledge through training and development; and the creation of thousands of jobs for the growing Saudi population.

Neil Bruce, president and CEO of SNC-Lavalin, said the company, which is best known in the offshore market for platform design and engineering, had operated on Saudi Arabia for more than 40 years.

The company has nearly 10,000 personnel working in-Kingdom, said Christian Brown, president, Oil & Gas.
