Offshore staff
ABU DHABI, UAE – Wintershall has finished drilling its first well offshore Abu Dhabi.
The SH-6 well on the sour gas/condensateShuwaihat field was spudded 5 km (3.1 mi) off the coast of Shuwaihat Island in western Abu Dhabi, 25 km (15.5 mi) west of Ruwais.
Wintershall CEO Mario Mehren said the well was completed ahead of schedule and substantially below budget.
The company operates in partnership with ADNOC and OMV.
