Iran, Azerbaijan explore Caspian oil cooperation

Representatives from Iran’s Khazar Exploration and Production Co. and Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR have discussed cooperation on oil projects in the Caspian Sea region.

BAKU, Azerbaijan – Representatives from Iran’s Khazar Exploration and Production Co. (KEPCO) and Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR have discussed cooperation on oil projects in the Caspian Sea region.

Mohsen Delaviz, KEPCO managing director, and SOCAR’s Rovnag Ibrahim Abdullayev held talks recently in Baku, according to Iranian news service Shana.

Delaviz said: “There are vast grounds for enhancing relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan for cooperation in the energy sector which can lead to economic progress for the two countries.”
