Shell in talks on Kish gas project offshore Iran

Representatives from Royal Dutch Shell have met with officials from the National Iranian Oil Co. to discuss development of the Kish gas field in the Persian Gulf, according to news service Shana.

TEHRAN, Iran – Representatives from Royal Dutch Shell have met with officials from the National Iranian Oil Co. (NIOC) to discuss development of the Kish gas field in the Persian Gulf, according to news service Shana.

Shell’s delegation was headed by Hand Nijkamp, VP for Shell Upstream International, Middle East and North Africa.

Others involved in the discussions were Gholamreza Manouchehri, deputy for development and engineering at NIOC, and Noureddin Shahnazizadeh, managing director of Iran’s Petroleum Engineering and Development Co.

Shana has also reported thatEni is interested in involvement in the Kish project.
