Aker BP gets go-ahead for Skarv well interventions

Aker BP has approval from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority for a well intervention campaign at the Skarv field in the Norwegian Sea.

OSLO, NorwayAker BP has approval from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority for a well intervention campaign at the Skarv field in the Norwegian Sea.

The semisubmersibleSonga Enabler will perform interventions on wells 6507/5-A-3, 6507/5-B-6 and 6507/5-B-8, with the program set to take two months to complete.

Skarv is in 300-450 m (984-1,476 ft) of water, roughly 200 km (124 mi) west of Sandnessjøen.
