TORSHAVN, Faroe Islands – Decommissioning has started of the FPSO serving the recently shut-down Ettrick and Blackbird fields in the UK central North Sea, according to partner Atlantic Petroleum.

The Nexen-led group is discussing outstanding and ongoing liabilities with respect to the assets.

In the northern UK sector, Atlantic expects to receive a 2-4.35% revenue share from theOrlando field once it starts production, currently expected in the second half of 2018, via a subsea tieback to CNR’s Ninian field complex.
