DUNDEE, UK – Oilfield Machinery (OilMac) has committed to operations at a new facility on Prince Charles Wharf at the Port of Dundee, south of Aberdeen.

OilMac, a specialist buyer and seller of redundant and surplus equipment, has also invested in a 170-metric ton (187-ton) crawler crane - the sole permanently-based oil and gas cargo handling crane in the port - for vessel mobilization, oil and gas and renewable energy activities.

David Webster, manager at the Port of Dundee, said: “The port is already recognized as a hub for the oil and gas sector and we regularly see large rigs docked for maintenance and project preparation.

“The port is also undergoing a major multimillion pound investment program to ensure that we are well positioned and ready to attract futuredecommissioning work in the sector.”
