HOUSTON – The sixth-generation drillshipPacific Bora has arrived at the deepwater Oyo field offshore Nigeria.
According to operatorErin Energy, the rig should spud the Oyo-9 well around 10 days from now. Oyo-9 should add a further 6,000-7,000 b/d of production.
Erin may exercise and option to use the rig additionally for wells on two other offshore Nigeria exploration prospects in the Miocene geological zone, which has been proven prolific in neighboring blocks.
