Dana Gas contracts P1 modeling software for Nile Delta well

AGR has signed a SaaS (Software as a Service) contract with UAE-based oil company Dana Gas PJSC to supply the latest version of its P1 software.

STRAUME, NorwayAGR has signed a SaaS (Software as a Service) contract with UAE-based oil company Dana Gas PJSC to supply the latest version of its P1 software.

According to AGR, the software helps users improve the accuracy of their well time and cost modeling and can be applied to all drilling and well-related operations, including completions and interventions.

Earlier this year the company introduced a cloud-based version of its probabilistic time and cost modeling software.

P1 will be implemented onDana Gas’ North El Arish (block-6) concession area in the Nile Delta offshore Egypt, with the first exploration well set to spud in 4Q 2017 or 1Q 2018.

Jim O’Hare, Engineering Lead at Dana Gas, said: “P1 increases our productivity in well planning, and combined with CT allows us to closely track and forecast well costs as operations progress.

“The new cloud-based version provides instant access anywhere you have access to a web browser.”
