    Faroe wins assent for North Sea appraisal well

    Faroe Petroleum has approval from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to resume appraisal drilling on its Brasse discovery in the North Sea.

    OSLO, Norway – Faroe Petroleum has approval from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to resume appraisal drilling on its Brasse discovery in the North Sea.

    The semisubmersibleDeepsea Bergen will drill well 31/7-2 S, the third to date on production license 740 which comprises part of blocks 31/7 and 30/9.

    Faroe operates in partnership with Core Energy.
