Mobil Equatorial Guinea has awarded GEPsing a new five-year contract to continue operation and maintenance of the FPSO Serpentina on the Zafiro field.

MONACO – Mobil Equatorial Guinea has awarded GEPsing a new five-year contract to continue operation and maintenance of the FPSO Serpentinaon the Zafiro field.

GEPsing is a joint venture between SBM Offshore and GEPetrol, the national oil company of Equatorial Guinea.

The FPSO has operated at Zafiro since July 2003 in a water depth of around 500 m (1,640 ft), and has an oil throughput capacity of 110,000 b/d.

GEPsing also operates theFPSOAseng off Equatorial Guinea for the Noble Energy-led partnership.
