NORTH SYDNEY, Australia – Hook-up and commissioning is ahead of schedule of the compression and condensate pumping modules on the Yolla platform for the BassGas project in the Bass basin offshore southeast Australia.

According to partnerAWE, the operator is targeting start-up in June.

In the offshore T/RL2 concession (AWE 40%), development concept studies are progressing for the Trefoil field including seismic reprocessing and updated static/dynamic modeling of the reservoirs.

Production from theCasino gas project (AWE 25%) in the offshore Otway basin has been impacted of late by increased backpressure at the Iona processing plant. The plant operator has since reduced backpressure to its previous level.

In the WA-512P permit in the offshore Perth basin, which AWE operates with a 10% interest, 2D and 3D pre-stack depth migration seismic reprocessing has been completed and interpretation of the data continues.

AWE also has a 100% interest in permits WA-497P and WA-511P in the North Carnarvon basin off Western Australia. In the latter case, a 3D seismic inversion study is under way to de-risk identified gas prospects and assist the farm-out process.
