LONDON – Aminex plans a re-tender process for a contractor to acquire 3D seismic over the Pande West lead and other potential prospects in the deepwater part of the Nyuni Area PSC offshore Tanzania.

Pande West is said to be analogous to other nearby deepwater discoveries.

Although Aminex is unlikely to drill a costly deepwater well on the concession without bringing in a farm-in partner, drilling wells on the continental shelf more economically remains an option.

As part of continued work over its near-shore interests under theKiliwani North development license and the Nyuni Area PSA, Aminex is reviewing existing data to identify drillable prospects that could be tied back to Tanzania’s national gas gathering system on Songo Songo Island.
