TEHRAN, Iran – The SP20 platform for the South Pars phases 20/21 project may have started operations.
According to news service Shana, pipelaying operations for exporting the produced gas to a treatment plant onshore have finished, and preparations for recovering sour gas from SP20 were under way last week.
The platform forSP21 was installed in December and came onstream over two weeks ago.
A spokesman added that one sweetening train of the SP20/21 refinery had come online, with the second train due to be operational over the weekend, followed soon by start-up of the third and fourth trains.
