Two DOF vessels win engagements offshore South America

STOREBØ, Norway – Total Austral has awarded DOF a three-year contract plus options for the anchor handler tug supply vessel Skandi Pacific.

The vessel will start work offshore southernArgentina in 2Q.

Elsewhere in South America, Petrobras has contracted DOF’s Brazilian-built pipelay vesselSkandi Vitória, owned via a joint venture with TechnipFMC, to work for 532 days.

The Skandi Vitória is the first pipelay vessel built in Brazil. It is equipped with vertical and horizontal pipe-lay systems, a 250-metric ton (275-ton) crane and two ROVs, and is capable of operating in water depths up to 3,000 m (9,842 ft).
