    Songa rig on Norwegian mainland for repairs

    Songa Offshore’s drilling semisubmersible Songa Encourage is currently close to Kristiansund, Norway, for an equipment overhaul and repair.

    LIMASSOL, Cyprus     – Songa Offshore’s drilling semisubmersible Songa Encourage is currently close to Kristiansund, Norway, for an equipment overhaul and repair.

    This follows water ingress into a pump room early this month while on assignment in the Norwegian sector.

    Songa Offshore expects the rig to be back in service for operator Statoil in early February.
