RIO DE JANEIRO – Petrobras’ oil production in Brazil last year set a record, averaging 2.14 MMb/d.

For the second successive year the company also achieved its production targets.

Petrobras’ operated production in thepresalt layer offshore Brazil soared by 33% to an average of 1.01 MMb/d.

The main highlights last year were production growth from the Lula field (Iracema Norte and Iracema Sul areas, via the FPSOsCidade de Itaguaí and Cidade de Mangaratiba, and in the Sapinhoá field (FPSO Cidade de Ilhabela), both in the presalt Santos basin.

There was strong growth too at the Parque das Baleias area (P-58), in the Espírito Santo sector of the Campos basin.

In addition, the company started up two production systems on Lula (FPSOsCidade de Maricá and Cidade de Saquarema) and one on Lapa (FPSOCidade de Caraguatatuba), in the Santos basin.
