S.D. expands platform supply vessel holdings

S.D. Standard Drilling has taken a 15.6% stake in New World Supply.

LIMASSOL, Cyprus – S.D. Standard Drilling has taken a 15.6% stake in New World Supply, which has subsidiaries that own six 2013-built, 3300 CD platform supply vessels.

TheWorld Diamond, World Peridot, World Pearl, World Emerald, World Opal, and World Sapphire are mid-size PSVs, all built at Damen Shipyard Group in Galati, Romania.

Features include 728 sq m (7,836 sq ft) of deck space, 3,300 dwt, and DP-II capability.

New World Supply originally acquired them fromWorld Wide Supply for $27.5 million.

Following the completion of this deal and last week’s acquisition of vessels from Volstad Shipping, S.D. Standard Drilling now has a fully or part-owned fleet of 16 PSVs.
