BANGKOK, Thailand – Mermaid Maritime subsidiary PT Seascape Surveys Indonesia has started a one-year charter extension of the DP-2 multi-purpose support vessel Resolution.
The ROV/air diving support vessel has been modified for subsea inspection, repair, maintenance and construction support tasks and is also capable of geophysical and geotechnical survey.
Facilities include a 20-metric ton (22-ton) main crane, a 3-metric ton (3.3-ton) general purpose crane, a 20-metric ton A-frame, and accommodation for 60 personnel.
Mermaid has chartered the vessel since December 2013. The extension is in anticipation of continued demand for subsea servicesoffshore Indonesia and elsewhere in Southeast Asia.
