    Lundin readies Leiv Eiriksson for latest Barents Sea well

    The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized Lundin Norway to use the semisubmersible Leiv Eiriksson to drill appraisal well 7219/12-1 A in production license 533 in the Barents Sea.

    OSLO, Norway – The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has authorized Lundin Norway to use the semisubmersible Leiv Eiriksson to drill appraisal well 7219/12-1 A in production license 533 in the Barents Sea.

    This covers blocks 7219/12 and 7220/10. The well will be drilled around 24 km (15 mi) north of discovery well 7220/10-1.
