Java Offshore expands through geotechnical acquisition

Java Offshore Sdn Bhd has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Asian Geos Sdn Bhd from both Gardline Geosciences Ltd. and Helms Geomarine Sdn Bhd.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Java Offshore Sdn Bhd has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Asian Geos Sdn Bhd, a geotechnical and geophysical service provider within the Asia Pacific market from both Gardline Geosciences Ltd. and Helms Geomarine Sdn Bhd.

The acquisition will add the capability for offshore geotechnical and engineering focused in the oil and gas, marine renewables, and other markets to Java Offshore’s portfolio.

Rizal Shah, CEO of Java Offshore, said: “We are extremely optimistic and very pleased with this acquisition. The consolidation of both companies will allow for a more cost-effective and efficient platform for growth, especially in the current challenges of the oil and gas segment.”
