LONDON – EnQuest has issued an update on its field developments and projects in the North Sea and offshore Malaysia.
Last month the company started and commissioned a new process plant and associated controls at the Thistle platform. Water injection remained offline during this period to support electrical maintenance and to address flexible flowline integrity.
At the Don fields, reservoir performance for the wells exceeded expectations, although an extended shutdown of the Brent pipeline system delayed planned production enhancement schemes and led to a 32-day shutdown of Dons at the end of the year.
Production from Heather and Broome was strong due to improved water injection reliability and increased injectivity from wells that had been drilled and worked over the previous year.
Compressor issues at the Greater Kittiwake Area platform resulted in the Grouse satellite being shut in for a time. Otherwise, EnQuest continues evaluation of the nearby Eagle discovery.
At theAlma/Galia complex, productivity has been negatively impacted by well performance including electric submersible pump reliability. Discussions continue on rectification measures.
During October, theEnQuest Producer was brought onto permanent power with the boiler and steam turbines online.
On thePM8/Seligi concession off Malaysia, EnQuest reactivated 17 idle well strings, including two add-on perforation jobs, lifting production by 5,000 boe/d. The company also implemented improvements to plant stability at the Seligi-A platform.
