Aramco orders more platforms from McDermott

Saudi Aramco has awarded McDermott International an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation contract.

HOUSTONSaudi Aramco has awarded McDermott International an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract.

This covers four jackets and three gas observation platforms offshore Saudi Arabia, with a combined weight of 11,595 tons.

McDermott plans to deploy its engineering teams in Dubai, Chennai, and Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, for the program, with construction handled at the company’s fabrication facilities in Dubai and Dammam.

In 2015, Aramco awarded McDermott anEPCI contract for 12 jackets, all delivered and installed in 2016.

Currently the company is executing EPCI work on nine more jackets offshore Saudi Arabia, due to be delivered this summer.
