Valvitalia buys pipeline joints group

Flow control/firefighting system specialist Valvitalia has agreed to acquire Nuova Giungas, a manufacturer of monolithic isolation joints for pipelines.

RIVANAZZANO TERME, Italy – Flow control/firefighting system specialist Valvitalia has agreed to acquire Nuova Giungas, a manufacturer of monolithic isolation joints for pipelines.

Nuova Giungas, founded in 1965 and based near Modena, employs 36 people spread over two manufacturing plants. Its turnover last year was almost €7 million ($7.46 million).

Valvitalia’s move follows its recent investment in a new fire-fighting testing area in Castelsangiovanni.
