FORNEBU, NorwayAker BP has completed its integration following the merger between Det norske oljeselskap and BP Norway.

The company now operates as one organization with a portfolio of 95 licenses on theNorwegian continental shelf, of which it operates 47.

These contain various yet-to be-sanctioned discoveries that following development could lift the company’s production to more than 250,000 boe/d in 2023. Aker BP has around 1,300 employees with offices in Fornebu, Stavanger, Trondheim, Harstad, and Sandnessjøen.

CEO Jonny Hersvik said the company was now working on building a common and strong Aker BP-culture, which he described as essential to achieve its growth targets.

“In addition, we see significant potential for cost reductions through new approaches. Aker BP will build on an effective business model according to the lean principle, unique technological competence and industrial cooperation,” Hersvik added.
