CALGARY, CanadaSuncor Energy’s 3Q production increased to 110,600 boe/d, mainly due to production from new wells at the Hibernia complex and improved reliability and reservoir optimization at Terra Nova, both offshore Newfoundland.

However, this was part offset by planned maintenance at the Buzzard field in the UK central North Sea.

Following the arrival of the utilities and process module from South Korea for theHebron platform offshore Newfoundland, all topsides modules are now on location at the Bull Arm yard and integration of these modules is under way.

Suncor expects first oil from Hebron in late 2017.

The company also allocated capital to drilling at theShelburne basin offshore Nova Scotia, including commencement of a second exploration well, and to development drilling at Hibernia, White Rose, and Golden Eagle (in the North Sea).
