DALLAS – Upon Carnarvon Petroleum Ltd.’s news that its North West Shelf Roc-2 well test successfully flowed gas and condensate, Polarcus informed that it performed the 3D multi-client survey that located the well.

The well was located usingPolarcus’ Capreolus 3D multi-client data within the Quadrant Energy-operated WA-437-P exploration permit. The drillstem test (DST) flowed gas at rates up to 51.2 MMcf/d and 2,943 b/d of condensate.

The Roc-2 DST has clearly shown that the Triassic, Caley formation is capable of gas and condensate production at commercial flow rates, Polarcus said.

Rob Kneale of Quadrant Energy commented: “The Capreolus data set played a key role in choosing the Roc-2 well location.”

Earlier this week, Polarcus entered into anMoU with TGS.
