Petronas selects Technip to supply and install Samarang flexibles

PARIS – Petronas has awarded Technip an EPCIC contract for the Samarang redevelopment project Phase 2 EOR offshore Malaysia.

The scope covers flexible pipelines with diameters ranging from 4 to 6-in. and associated platform I-tubes.

Technip’s operating center in Kuala Lumpur expects to complete the program during 3Q 2017.

Flexible pipelines will be manufactured at the company’s Asiaflex Products plant in Tanjung Langsat, Johor.

Technip vessels will be mobilized for installation works during the first half of 2017.
