HO CHI MIN CITY, Vietnam– Intellian Technologies has secured an order from PTSC Marine, a PetroVietnam Technical Services Corp. subsidiary.

The contract, which involves service provider Vinasat, calls for the installation of 10 v100 antenna systems on a series of anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels.

The Intellian v100 is designed to operate on Ku- and Ka-band. Its high-gain, carbon fiber reflector ensures performance in either configuration, and is said to achieve high throughput in combination with minimized operational costs. The company says that the v100 can be converted from a Ku-band to a Ka-band system in less than 10 minutes without removing the radome, with only the switch-out of an integrated RF module and feed replacement required.

The v100 also benefits from automated diagnostics including the internal Spectrum Analyzer, while a built-in web interface allows shore-based staff to use Intellian’s Aptus software to manage, trouble shoot, and update terminals in the field without setting foot on board a vessel.
