SINGAPORE-- The FPSOArmada Olombendo for Eni’s East Hub development project offshore Angola has undergone a naming ceremony in Singapore.

It should shortly depart for its final location inAngolan block 15/06. Once in position, mooring, and hookup operations will get under way.

Eni aims to produce first oil from the East Hub by 1H 2017. Development involves drilling nine subsea wells comprising five producers and four water injectors, in waters depth ranging from 450 to 550 m (1,476 to 1,804 ft).

Produced hydrocarbons will be transported via apipeline system to the FPSO to be treated and stored prior to export.

Other partners in the block are Sonangol Pesquisa e Produção (36.84%) and SSI Fifteen (26.32%).
