ACE Winches has supplied a four-point mooring system for deployment on a vessel working on the Kashagan field in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea.

ABERDEEN, UKACE Winches has supplied a four-point mooring system for deployment on a vessel working on the Kashagan field in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea.

The package, ordered by a Belgian contractor, included ACE 30-metric ton hydraulic winches, a 35-metric ton (38.6-ton) hydraulic drum winch and safe area diesel hydraulic power units (HPUs).

Another of the company’s recent deliveries was a chain winch package to support operations on theIchthys LNG project offshore northwest Australia.

The chain winch system will be used to pull the heaviest chains ever installed by the client, with a diameter of 178 mm (7 in.).

In addition, ACE supplied two 50-metric ton (55-ton) WLL twin Chainlifter hydraulic winches, a 576-kW containerized safe area electric HPU, and two 76-kW containerized safe area electric HPUs.
