Latest Manora production well set for service in November

The jackup Atwood Orca has completed drilling the MNA-17 ST1 (AJ) production well in the central fault block of the Manora oil field offshore Thailand.

WEST PERTH, Australia – The jackupAtwood Orca has completed drilling the MNA-17 ST1 (AJ) production well in the central fault block of the Manora oil field offshore Thailand.

According to partner Tap Oil, the well - drilled to a TD of 1,983.9 m (6,509 ft) TVDSS - found 17.4 m (57 ft) of oil pay in four separate reservoirs.

It will be suspended prior to completion as a multi-zone producer well using an electric submersible pump during a forthcoming hydraulic workover unit program.

MNA-17 ST1 is expected to enter production in November.
