LONDON – Tullow Oil has produced first oil from the Tweneboa, Enyenra, Ntomme (TEN) fields offshore Ghana, through the FPSOProf. John Evans Atta Mills.
Start-up was on time and on budget, three years after Ghana’s government approved the plan of development in May 2013.
Oil production is expected to ramp-up gradually toward the FPSO capacity of 80,000 b/d through the remainder of 2016. Tullow estimates that TEN’s average annual production this year will be around 23,000 b/d.
Tullow operates TEN with a 47.175% stake, in partnership with Anadarko (17%), Kosmos Energy (17%), Ghana National Petroleum Corp. (15%) and PetroSA (3.875%).
Aidan Heavey, CEO of Tullow, said: “This is an important moment for Tullow as production begins from our second operated development in Ghana.
