COMO, AustraliaNido Petroleum has issued an update on its incremental development plans for the Galoc field offshore the Philippines.

This comprises the producing Central Field Area (CFA) and the un-drilled northern extension Galoc Mid Area (GMA), in block C1 of Service Contract 14 (SC 14C1) in the northwest Palawan basin.

The CFA is currently producing through the Galoc-3/ST, -4, -5 and -6 wells.

The partners are considering drilling the Galoc-7 appraisal well to appraise the GMA. If the outcome is positive, a potential Phase III development could follow using conventional horizontal drilling and subsea completion technology.

Current thinking is that two horizontal subsea development wells could be tied back to the Galoc FPSO with first production in 2019.
