ABU DHABI, UAEGulf Marine Services (GMS) has received a notice of early termination for one of its mid-size class self-propelled self-elevating support vessel (SESV) supporting well services for a national oil company in the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region.

The vessel is expected to come off charter in early 4Q 2016.

Earlier this month, GMS announced that it had received a contract and a contract extension in the same region. A MENA-based national oil company had hired a mid-class SESV to begin work immediately on a 12-month contract including options.

A different MENA NOC had confirmed a contract extension for a small class vessel.
